A superior replacement for the clutch springs when using a dry clutch on a high performance motor. The powerplate consists of two plates which slide into each other with pressed-in air in-between them and replaces the original pressure plate, clutch springs and the clutch releasing disc. The air exerts its force directly to our clutch pack. Unlike springs where the pressure is applied at the clutch hub studs. Every square inch of clutch surface will have the same ppressure. Fit on all 3 or 5 stud hubs. If you are running over 20PSI pre-load in the Powerplate, we recommend using a 5 stud heb. Comes complete with small volume air pump, hardware and installation instructions. Fits Big Twin 1939-early 1984dry clutches in aluminum primaries and open belt drives. Will not fit in tin primaries.
